It's just for show. The longer the take the more seriously they are seen to be taking it.Really strange that this is taking so long.
Would have thought that statements etc would all have been taken whilst everything was fresh in the mind, same with interviews with all involved. Doing interviews/taking statements weeks later does not make a lot of sense.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 yearsComment

I actually think it's a precursor to saying there is no charge to answer, a position they will be accused of rushing to if they don't interview everyone, get Portuguese experts etc etc. The FA are **** scared of the whole topic.Last edited by Kenneth; 24-01-18, 02:58 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 yearsComment

"In a letter to Kick it Out, FA chief executive Martin Glenn said background checks were done on Neville but did not reveal the comments in question.
He added they "would not meet the threshold for issuing a charge". "
It would be interesting to see where the threshold lies, and indeed its definition.
And this demonstrates my problem with the FAs approach to these things.
There is clear evidence available in the Neville case, so should it not be up to the disciplinary panel (the defacto jury) to decide on guilt, and apply the threshold guidelines to to the case?
It is a ridiculous system.Last edited by dom9; 24-01-18, 07:00 PM.Oh I don't know.Comment
