Would have thought that statements etc would all have been taken whilst everything was fresh in the mind, same with interviews with all involved. Doing interviews/taking statements weeks later does not make a lot of sense.

I actually think it's a precursor to saying there is no charge to answer, a position they will be accused of rushing to if they don't interview everyone, get Portuguese experts etc etc. The FA are **** scared of the whole topic.

I've seen disciplinary investigations go on for best part of a year in a few organisations tbh

The hiring of the formerly misogynistic Phil Neville as manager of the English women's team, which has brought himself and the FA into disrupte, will bring an interesting context to this investigation, should charges be brought.

It would be interesting to see where the threshold lies, and indeed its definition.

And this demonstrates my problem with the FAs approach to these things.

There is clear evidence available in the Neville case, so should it not be up to the disciplinary panel (the defacto jury) to decide on guilt, and apply the threshold guidelines to to the case?

It is a ridiculous system.
