I think time is dulling the memory of just how **** Andy Carroll was for us.


Rubbish as Benteke has been for us, he has already matched the number of league goals that Carroll scored during his entire time at Liverpool and is only four goals off of matching Carroll's goal tally in all comps for us despite Carroll having had far more game time for us than what Benteke has had so far.


But being a bit less **** than Andy Carroll is not really much of a recommendation at all.

£32 million for Benteke and £35 million for Andy Carroll.

As **** as he's been for us, in the right team he'd clearly be a menace so I think plenty will still give us good money for him.

In a much more limited team, he's dangerous at a lower level where less is expected and the ball is played into the box at every opportunity. At the higher level it won't work, he was found out at international level and now at us.

Don't despise him, we just should have never bought him in the first place, said that from day 1. We don't play long ball with old fashion wingers we try to play the ball on the floor under Rodgers so this transfer was ALWAYS extremely confusing to me. We got absolutely robbed in the transfer market again, both for the quality of player and a system/style/formation mismatch.

He puts in no effort at all. Absolutely nothing. Its fine if you're not the most talented player in the world, but you show desire, commitment, use your strengths, your size. He doesn't do this at all. He says away from it almost.

He just doesn't look like he really gives a ****, it almost as if he knows deep down how utterly **** he is and that we've wasted 30m quid on him. What a great parting gift from Bodgers this was. ****ing hell.

I feel sorry for him and frustrated by him in varying amounts. Sorry for him because we've all been on his back for a while, and we all questioned the signing of him immediately because he wasn't the type of player we needed and that has been shown to be the case. He's really struggling in the side, he is a better player than he is showing at the moment, but he needs to be in a side that suits his style of play and that is never going to be us.

He is frustrating because he doesn't look to be putting the effort in and we are creating very few decent chances and when they fall to him he seems to waste them.

He really doen't have a future here and has to go in the summer, he's playing at moment as though he's already been told that and is just seeing out his time here and going through the motions.
