Thanjk you.

On the injury problem - I also doubt it's down to Klopp's methods considering the lack of possible training time. I did read an interesting small article about Barca's new initiative to fend off injuries. They've equipped all their players with GPS-vests that monitors accelerations, decelerations, speed, distance covered and some more things that indicates to the medical /physio team what players are getting closer to injuries and fatigue. Helps them collect enough data to be able to pick the most fit lineup and save those in greatest risk of injury. Apparently explains their low level of injuries recently.

Pretty sure we and most top teams in Europe have been using GPS vests for a good 5 years now mate. I know Arsenal are removing their hybrid of grass and synthetic material pitches at their training ground either some time soon or its already happened. Their injuries aren't really hamstring related I don't think, the pitch at the Emirates is also the same hybrid but I guess they're keeping that the same they just see using it on a daily basis as risky. Same system is employed at United for about 18 months.

Do they wear them in matches too? Wouldn't give the full picture if they don't. All the tops clubs wear them in training.
im not sure how much actual training is going on given the amount of games we have to play. Its more like play-rest/recover-play...
He probably has had very little actual tactical / physical training time on the pitch. The soft tissue injuries though are a little worrying because it could show up an issue in the preparation to games.

Ok, might be the case - it was just an explanation of the low injury level they've had over the past few seasons, so thought it was something different.
If we didnt know we had a goodun already then pissing off the countries football pondlife like Allardyce, Pardew and Poolis confirms it. Anyone they dont like is fine by me!
I see Fat Sam has taken the opportunity to have a pop at Klopp, blaming him for our injury woes.
I didn't read it quite that way. He actually raised in the context of a winter break. I understood him as saying that he was trying to bring a highly paced front foot pressing game to the team and because the games are thick and fast without respite it's had an impact. Then he went on to say that's why teams need a winter break. Basically because the game has become more strenuous on the body.
He's got a point too.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
