Teams realise we have little pace in the team so they can afford to surge the penalty area and force errors in our defence.

Ones that are invariably saved by the keeper if they reach that far or don't get blasted into the stands. Probably a mixture of factors but there is no way we have the tightest defence in the league so they are hiding something.Originally posted by Liverpool View Postdistance from goal, for average shot/goal. Definately something else going on with those stats, as suggested it could be that we deny sides the opportunities to have long range shots which are (usually) comfortably saved and pad out other keepers stats, while the chances that we give up are fairly easy chances for the striker (one-on-one with the keeper or from close range) which the keeper is unlikely to save.
In my head (no stats to back this up) we tend to give away alot of goals on the counter attack where a striker bursts through with relatively few defenders back and as teams seem to sit back against us we don't often defend chances with alot of men behind the ball (set pieces aside). So I think there is something to this, it also agrees with critisism Mignolet was getting anout conceding from the oppositions first shot. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I wish he would make substitutions sooner, we never seem to make tactical changes before about 65mins, today we were terrible and calling out for changes at half time or really early in the second halfThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Yeah is similar to how under Rafa you could almost guess to the minute when in the second half he would start bringing on subs.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I was thinking the same.

i hate that to be honest. Because it's clearly decided before the game. Used to frustrate the hell out of me when Rafa did it. Zero urgency in his subs. I really like Klopp, brilliant character but not convinced on him tactically. We'll see next season when he gets a better squad, as this one is ****e.

Love Klopp but seriously have doubts about him. Starting to think we should have gone for Ancelloti, we are not great in attack and are bordering on woeful in defence. He does need to build his team and get winners, a stronger calibre of player and see how he gets on but we're **** at the moment and he is partly to blame even though he does have an exceptionally poor group of players playing for him.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I don't have a problem with planned subsitutions where someone coming back from injury and the plan is to given them 60mins from the start or the last 30 or whatever. There also seem to be the last 10 mins subs where if we're winning Lucas will come on for the last 10 or whatever. It seems like we rarely make tactical changes based on how the game is going. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
