I'm now convinced Klopp has done a u turn on his philosophy and feels playing conservatively is the way to win the league. Not going for it yesterday was criminal. But we are still top of the league. Maybe he's right.
Set up to prioritise a clean sheet maybe but that =/= draw which is why he was livid not just at the end but several times during the game
Yeah that's a fair comment.
It was the most conservative I've seen us defensively for a while. Robertson didn't get forward as much as usual, and Milner, I assume was put there because he's supposedly more solid defensively.
I just think we were set up more defensively than we perhaps needed to be.
There's an interesting article in the echo about how we often try and get an extra man in attack, this time it happened to be Milner. Shame he was utter gash and united had to change their tactics about four times in the match so it was harder to exploit.
"They were shoulders back, chest out and proud of what we do together. Absolutely the attitude and mentality we all need. I saw and I heard the passion and it filled me with belief and all I could think is ‘We are Liverpool’ and that’s all that matters" Klopp
I love this guy
Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015 #****CITY
