I think our owners ars smart enough to know there's absolutely nobody who could achieve half as much as he does with this business model. And stay quiet about it as well. Also there'd probably be riots.
Wouldnt blame Klopp completely. He wasnt given funds to buy players. Every season its sell before you can buy. Meanwhile every other team is just throwing money randomly around. Surely we could have at least 1 season where we can be a little stupid and, oh I dont know...buy more than 2 players?
We are certainly paying the price for not investing in that midfield and letting it go stale. In a year where the league has got even more competitive outside of City were look stale and slow. It's weird, you kind of get used to success and winning .... these are feelings of the old pre Klopp era.

It's the same squad as last season with the exception of Mane.

It’s true that he has financial constraints, but our problem has been that we haven’t sold players or moved players on. We just keep paying them more the older and worse they get.

Its a dilemma for Klopp, overplay the ageing wood or overplay the youngsters who are not quite ready
This could happen. If it does, Pepijn Lijnders should be given the job
Hmmmm - I’m not so sure now if the worst happened (and it won’t) then maybe a new voice would help. We are so far away from that even being a possibility
I’m not sure that Ljinders book was an amazing idea. It wasn’t an autobiography it was about our style, it showed a bit of arrogance.
There was a hell of a lot of back slapping going on pre season,
“Best group of lads ever”
“Here’s a book I wrote about how amazing, awesome and hard working we all are”.
I’m not a fan of self congratulation ever. It exposes a few weaknesses. These lads look like they need a proper rocket, because they are all capable of better than this. I’m sure the book in itself makes zero difference but it is emblematic of a mindset that we are now seeing on the pitch. ‘We’ve made it. This should be easy’.
