They are not gazillionaires with stacks of readies that they don't need. They are a business. We might not like that because it means we have to spend within the confines of what we earn as a business, but that's a world away from your assertion that they're all sat there draining the club of all its riches on a beach in Honalulu
We 'spend' all of the profit that we make. From our last set of audited accounts (freely available to all) we made a loss of £9.5m. There were no monies taken out of the club other than those you would expect, including the scheduled part repayment of the £200m (working cap) and £73m (stadium) loans
They are running the club as a healthy business that is not saddled with unreasonable debt, and we are / were spending at the absolute limit that our finances allow. Covid hit us hard, like all clubs that aren't owned by tycoons of some sort
For example - when we won the league, our matchday rev was £3.6m, down from £71m the year before.
I'm not saying they deserve a free ride, because a football club is not the same as an ordinary business*; but its simply untrue that they are taking money out of the club
*even an ordinary business has to take risks and 'speculate to accumulate' at times. The argument could therefore be "spend more, win more, earn more" but the problem is that spending more does not guarantee more wins
