So none of those were committee signings? They were exclusive Rodgers failures?

The spotlight should be on the system we have for signing players. Not the manager here. Klopp will work in the same way.
    *Except Michael, who died.

Even if you listed those solely attributed to Rodgers the list wouldnt read much better

Dalglish got slaughtered for the signing of Henderson, Adams, Downing & Carroll when we also had Comolli in charge of transfers
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Not sure about that - in his very first PC he said very clearly that he 'would have the first & last word on any signings'

I think the 'committee' will act as a scouting network from here on in & offer Klopp a list of potential for him to pick & choose - if anyone thinks Klopp has agreed to anything else when he agreed to come here then they're deluded - no way a manager with the standing of Klopp would work under such 'grey' conditions
What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

If you think the system is going to change because of the manager then its equally as deluded IMO.

I dont doubt that Klopp will have the first and last say. Just like Rodgers did. But maybe Klopp is a better judge of player, or a strong enough personality to be able to not allow himself to be bulldozed.

Signings of £15m+ over last 3 seasons

            Benteke 32.5m

            Firmino 29m

            Lallana 25m

            Markovic 20m

            Lovren 20m

            Balotelli 16m

            Sakho 16m

            Allen 15m

Thats a terrible terrible record by ANY standards nevermind the manager of LFC

Lots on here had a go at Kenny and rightly so as he wasted a ton of money also but Rodgers record is equally bad if not worse based on the above

            You forgot Borini too..

I think Borini was the worst, the others you can justify in various ways.

              We'll just have to disagree....

Will you have control over signings?

It’s a crazy discussion. It was not a problem for 10 seconds. I’m not an idiot. It’s enough that I have the first and the last word - in the middle we can discuss. We want to discuss good players on the highest level. I’m not a genius. I need other people to get the perfect information. When we have this we will decide to sign or sell a player.

Always been impressed by him but Bravo is an excellent keeper too. Barca wouldn't let him go but he wants to play games. But yeah, a champion's league winning keeper is no better than Mignolet

Borini only cost £12m which is why I excluded him

To me him, Allen, Benteke, Balotelli are all as bad as Carroll & Downing that Kenny bought and the signings of Diouf, Diao & Cheyrou under Houllier

The thing that frustrates me most about Rodgers is the lack of a plan, with Kenny despite how bad the signings at least you could see that there was a plan (Downing supplying crosses for Carroll). Rodgers approach is very scattergun all of us in the summer were scrathing our heads about how we would play. If you look at that list of players half of them are squad players at best.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Borini and Allen were £26m wasted on comfort signings.
Lallana,Lovren and Benteke we overpaid by at least £30m total for "proven premiership"
I'd say that those 5 were the definite 100% Rodgers signings.
Happy(ish) with the rest bar Mario - not happy that we loaned out Markovic obviously.

Let alone overpaying for Benteke, it was just plain stupid to move for him, he isn't a good fit and it was plain to see way before we signed him, most fans saw it as well. Lallana and Lovren can be used by Klopp for one or two seasons but they were ridiculously expensive, which was to be expected when buying domestically.
                        * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

We have spunked loads on attacking midfielders who don't know how to put the ball in the net , does not matter which one plays we get the same result.

I was dreaming that the manager can change that but does not look good for the future with what we have unless Sturridge stays fit which was the same problem as last year.

It's no coincidence that Rodgers slowly moved influential out as imo he was scared of being questioned about his tactics and like last summer proved he blamed someone else and threw his coaching staff under a bus to save his own skin.

As good as Klopp is the fact that even he can't get a tune out of this squad says it all. Over £250m spent by Rodgers and we have a worse squad than when we were close to administration.

I only hope FSG back him and make money available. I'm sick to death of us wasting millions on either kids who never make it or overpriced premier league ****e.

The easiest way to waste money is to replace 10 squad players with 10 more squad players, we will get poor transfer fees for the players we are selling and will pay over the odds for someone who is barely if any improvement on what we have, while waiting 1-2 years for them to settle / come good and repeating the process in 3-4 years time after us all moan how **** they are. Spend big on a player who is going to be the main stay of your team for the next 7-10 years that is much better value for money.

i feel like our team is a turd in mid flush, we are slowly disappearing around our own U bend
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
