If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Bloke has done a miracle with our defence ,

Remember loads of people saying he didn't know how set one up.

Feel we are within touching distance of the league this year.

WE deffo need to put our eggs in the basket and go for it.

Last year he made a miracle with our attack.

This years he's made a good start with our defence but miracle is pushing it.

If he can combine the two, then that would be a real miracle and we'll have a great chance.
          Oh I don't know.

Not sure a miracle is pushing it really. The improvement goes far back into last season, not just the start of this.

We conceded 50(!) in the league in 15/16
            42 in 16/17
            38 in 17/18

But in our last 38 league games overall, it's down to 24. The first time we've been at less than a goal a game over the equivalent of a season since Rafa.

As things stand, we're on track for conceding 14 this season!
Obviously a freak thrashing or 2, or just a collapse in form would throw that.

But I think that even conceding around 25 or less this season would be every bit as impressive as what Klopp achieved with our attack.

              I love this guy.

"I have no idea when we will win something, but I’m sure this club will win something.
I don’t know when so let's have the best times of our lives until then. Let's enjoy the world, let's enjoy the football, let's enjoy the journey and it’s what we did so far - it was a good time.”

He is absolutely the best person to have the helm since Shankly; great men followed Bill, but this guy has it all. I cannot wait for the trophies to start coming home.

I hope he is not too pissed off with Vvd and Wij. They will not be able to resist a smirk when they go back to work.

Wonder if he’d be tempted by the Germany job?
                  Another MASSIVE game

In a few years, no doubt.

I don't think so. National coaches don't spend enough time with their group of players and will also have had their coaching from a different perspective which would just irritate him

I used to think similar. Obviously his 'rock and roll' football and gegen pressing requires endless hours on the training ground which he wouldn't have. What he's shown recently is how adaptable he is, so I don't see it being an issue. He would clearly have to change his approach, but I don't see it being a problem. Even ignoring the tactical side of things, he's a world class motivator and that sometimes is enough for International football if you have a good squad of players. You could see the immediate impact he had on our squad before the Spurs game.

I think he'd be brilliant at it. Once he wants to start winding down towards retirement, it would be the perfect transition for him. He would still be involved with football, but still have plenty of time in-between to pursue other interests.

Plus as well, it’s mentioned in the Rafa Honigstein book that he’d be up for it, IIRC.

I see it as something he'd love to do in 15 years time.

Dunno. He's already said it's unlikely he'll still be coaching at that age.

I think he'll look to do one more 6 or 7 year job after Liverpool and then retire.

There isn't really anywhere else that would benefit from him, someone may as well tell him to do another 10 years here

That's true. He also said he'd promised his family he'd take another 1 year sabbatical after Liverpool, which would rule him out of more or less any job interest that comes his way while he's with us
