Yeah, Dan is often wrong, but this could finish him off.

Gutted for Matip, so sad to end his LFC career like that, was one of our best signings really.

Next CB we sign needs to be a Mr. Available type like VVD. You need reliable players to form a partnership.

Brutal news though. Great player and a great character on the pitch. Not only a massive blow for this season, but I was really hoping he'd stay an extra couple of years.

Good opportunity for Quansah, but we really need a replacement in January.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Ah, that's brutal for him as was playing well...almost too well as if he's playing for another contract with us. Hope the club will do the decent thing & give him an extension for another season to see if he can get back to his best. We all saw it with VVD & the Ox, very hard to get back to your best as it takes time & Matip doesn't have that with us... most likely we will have his replacement up & running in the team by the time Matip gets back playing.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

We've been suckered into giving contract extensions to injured players who have never ever come back to their previous best and with the age of matip we'd be mad to do it again.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

We can give him a hero's welcome on the victory parade at the end of the season

I would have said to give him the years extension but with that type of injury and his age, no chance. Such a pity as he's a top class CB and seemed to be putting that injury prone past in his rear view mirror. Konate seems very injury prone and lacks consistency, Gomez isn't good enough and Quansah is a kid.. it's imperative that we have go into the market for another CB starter in January.

                    I'd prefer a RB TBH

Agreed... I love Matip, but ACL is a bad one... Maybe chip in for his rehab. Or allow him to train, but a new contract... nah.

He’s done at the top level I’m afraid. He’s not coming back from that at his age. Really sad to see it end this way.

Would be cool to be able to give away other people’s money like that, but he should probably retire. Would probably take a year to get back to full fitness, if that’s possible, and he’ll be 33.
