That's sounding like the season is done. End of contract this Summer as well. If we've got anyone earmarked for next Summer might be worth trying to get in this Jan window.

Konate and Gomez haven't exactly been reliable with injuries and Quansah is still a kid and we can't be relying on him playing week in week out.

I think Konate is an interesting one because he has all the tools to be top 10 defenders in world football but its possible that he just wont have the consistency due to injuries every so often.

If the right player is available then i can see us doing something.

Would want another CB brought in on top of having Quansah getting games.

With Konate and Gomez being injury prone along with Matip being injury prone and coming to the end of his contract, we are, imo of course, starting the reach the need to refresh point with the back line that we ignored with midfield for a season too long.

Rather we started bringing in players one at a time now for the back line for the next two or three windows than get to a point where we find ourselves needing to bring in three or four in the one window.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I really rate Konate it's his injury niggles that are the concern.

Same as Gomez. Both top class defenders but made of biscuits.

I'm pleasantly surprised how many continuous months/games we eeked out of Matip this time. But normality has been restored.

What a shame for him and us, a poor way for him to bow out.

                      All the best Joel.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

                        Diviner Dan

Pretty gutted, I really like him as a player. Bit of a blow as far as our title bid is concerned. Top quality, and when he and Virg are both on top of their game, could be the best partnership I have seen

Awful news and probably the end of his career at LFC
