It’s not but I wasn’t screaming at the screen like normal when he’s in charge so there

Well I was in full voice when the Klopp started all their Tierney chants.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Definitely, I'd like to get in a top CB for Matip, and two fullbacks as well.

Gomez is not good enough ****ing hell.

you'd swear he's Maldini ffs. He's a decent squad player to have and i'm content enough to have him in to fill in when needed but not good enough to be a regular starter.

Except he has in the past shown he is exactly that if the criteria is simply whether he is a good enough player or not.

The only reason why Gomez is not a regular starter and why he cannot be relied upon to be one is his injury track record imo.

But in terms of ability and being able to play at the level required for a title winning or cup winning team, he has shown that he is up to scratch.

Very few teams have a defender as good as him as a back up. He is good enough imo to walk into pretty much the starting line up of every premier league team with the exception of City and even at City he would be good enough to be a quality back up player.

Would have him in our starting line up ahead of any of the CBs at Arsenal, Man U, Spurs or Chelsea.

A full page on Matip since yesterday and he's not injured?

                  What's going on?

Or because there are better players in front of him. He's a squad player that can cover across the back line and fill in when other players that are better than him are injured or suspended. IMO he has only got his amount of game time as Konate and Matip who are better CB's than him are also injury prone.

As for him being good enough to walk into any line up apart from City, yeah I don't agree with that at all but agree to disagree. IMO he has get out of trouble pace but he is a very limited CB. As I said, happy to have him in the squad to fill in but he is our "4th" choice CB not because he is injury prone but because the other lads are better than him.

Man U have Maguire, Lindelof, Varane and Martinez. You think Gomez is not good enough to be a starter there?

Chelsea have Disasi, Silva, Badiashile, Colwill and Chalobah ( CB and DM). Plus they often use three CBs in the starting line up. Gomez not good enough to oust at least three if not four of those names?

Spures have Davies, Romero, Van de Ven, and Dier as their CB options. Still think Gomez would not be a starter there?

Arsenal have Saliba, White, Gabriel, Timber and Kiwior. Now maybe you could make an arguement for Gabriel or Saliba being better than him, but it would be close, but he would be better than the other three imo.

The thing with Gomez is it does not matter if Konate is better than him or if Matip is, Gomez has still shown many times that in terms of ability he is more than good enough to be a starter for a club like Liverpool. That does not mean there cannot be players at the club better than him, but he more than held his own in title winning and title winning seasons when he was a regular. That does not happen if a player is not good enough.

I get any arguement against Gomez that are based on him being injury prone, but fully fit he has shown himself to be good enough. He might not be the best CB at the club, but certainly good enough to be a starter level CB at a club at the very top end of the PL.

When Gomez can stay fit and gets a run of games he has shown he is a top player, he is definitely good enough.

After his last injury, I didn’t actually think he would get back to the level he’s been at recently. He’s still only 26 so I think he can keep improving.

I knew you couldn't let it go. Doesn't get ahead of Saliba, Gabriel. Silva is a still class, Colwill looks the real deal, Van Der Ven looks like a brilliant signing and Romero when he's not doing something wild is a very good CB. **** United they are ****. I'd also have the likes of Aguerd, Konsa, Torres, Botman, Schar ahead of him.

He is the 4th best CB at the club and will do fine as the squad player he is

Gomez is the greatest CB to have ever centre backed, sir.

I will see you in the IKEA car park after dark.
