We have Van Dijk, Matip and Gomez which is a very strong line-up. Then we have Lovren as a decent backup (World Cup and Champions League finalist!) and Ki-Jana Hoever in the wings.

Yep, its a shame he picked up that injury as he would have well cemented his place.

I think finding a decent full back to cover Robertson/TAA is pretty impossible.

Klopp will probably go with Gomez/Milner, gives them minutes as well as Lovren/Matip.

All falls down with 2-3 knocks.

Gomez is sound if we play three at the back when defending a lead, or as right back when we are defending a lead, but he isnt going to stretch the opposition defence too often like taa will.
its been seen that without the balance of two running full backs its easier for opposition to defend against us.

Next season will be huge and we'll need Van Dijk, Matip and Gomez, plenty of rotation opportunities to be had.

In some ways it's a good thing Gomez got injured, it meant Matip could get a run and realise his potential which means we have three solid options and Lovren (lol).

No way Gomez should get back in currently, not a massive fan of TAA/Gomez on one side, Matip covers Trent much better plus having Adrian in goal. Its an unnecessary error waiting to happen

Back 4 right now is perfectly balanced.
