Could probally do with siging a understudy to Robbo in the summer

We need cover at full back, personally I would consider Gomez as just a CB, if we are sticking with players that we have there I would rather player Milner at either LB or RB or Henderson at RB than Gomez, as they are probably as capable defensively at fullback and offer more going forward. Also Fabinho is far too important to our midfield to be shifted to full back I would move the other two (Milner and Henderson) first.

Also Lovren just doesn't seem suited to our style of play, I think he could be moved on in the summer if we can find someone as a suitable replacement.

We can't sell Lovren, the sneaky ******* became best friends with Salah! But I'd love to get in a versatile full back to keep Gomez as a CB.

He's definitely stepped up. He came in, did well, dropped off, and recently, has elevated in performance levels.

Correct about Gomez, CB only, unless its as a non attacking right back when we are coasting and defending a lead.

In that situation (playing defensively) id say our players woud be better used playing three at the back so we can get gomez onto the pitch alongside matip and vvd, wi5h the fullbacks still ready to break, almost a back five.

Quality wise we look good at CB, but as we saw this season, and in seasons gone by, we have a lot of bad luck with regards to CBs missing time through injury or illness, and as good as Fabinho was when he covered at CB I would want to see him get all his game time in midfield.


Defo could do with some FB cover as well as it is not ideal to be pulling Milbner to play at LB (even though he is bloody good there) as, like with playing Fab at CB, it reduces our midfield options.

Gomez for me should be third choice back up for the RB slot and would like him to be third choice cover for LB too as he played very well at LB for us under Rodgers and was meant to be good at LB for Charlton too. But he shoud only be used at FB if we are really badly stuck.

He has been fantastic since he came back into the side, him and VVD have made a great partnership, it will be interesting to see whether it is his or Gomez who start the season partnering VVD

Matip has cemented his place in the side now, Gomez faces a challenge to displace him, I think he will but is's a challenge. Free transfer

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't bid for De Ligt.

We have Van Dijk, Matip and Gomez which is a very strong line-up. Then we have Lovren as a decent backup (World Cup and Champions League finalist!) and Ki-Jana Hoever in the wings.
