he is absolutely quality. Managing him this season is huge. He could be crucial for us this season and now that we are fairly stacked at CB, he will get the required rest his body needs. Poor ****er just needs one season without injury.

I can think of more Virgil mistakes (at least 2 show boat errors) than I can Matip.
It is because he wasn't a multi million pound signing. It seems price tags are important when discussing how good a player is. Matip is not quite as good as VVD, nor is he as much of a presence - but he is not all that far off either.Modifying post.Comment

He's a really good player and an ideal partner for VVD, when he is on the pitch there are no questions over his game, the only issue (and unfortunately it's a big one) is his injury record.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.Comment
