I love Sadio.

What's been missing in his game is the unpredictable goalscoring - the cutting in onto his right and finding the far corner, goal out of a half-chance type stuff. It might be that Jota playing regularly now means there's not the space there is when Firmino buzzing around but I can barely remember Mane scoring from a half-chance (or less) for a year or so.

this. Playing off his natural instinct and not over thinking things is how became one of the best in the world. It does seem the more time he has to think, the worse the outcome.

He was on it yesterday and we didn't really give him the ball enough. Great game.

Thought he played well even when we as a team didn't really hit the usual heights. Was a lovely goal. If he gets back to his old self we are in for a treat. Getting the numbers up can only do wonders for his confidence. We need Mane to start racking up big numbers as we cannot expect Mo to keep getting us out of trouble every time.

Still looked ropey at times, but when we turned it on in the second half he looked like the Mane of 2 seasons ago.

Great finish for the goal too. He's been missing those ones, so hopefully this fills him with confidence.

The move and link up between Mane and Salah for Manes goal was vintage Klopp LFC. It is very encouraging to see that sort of fast transition reappearing in our play. Mane is and always will be slightly unconventional, but that goal was all about his quality. The timing of the run was sublime (as was the weight of Salahs pass).
