For a balanced view as I've been hard on him before I don't think Mane should have been subbed today. He did a hell of a lot more than Salah, though obviously we had to keep him on for the penalties.

Diaz should have been subbed before Mane as he was gassed. That header for Matip's goal was majestic.

Don't agree. Mane was always the first attacker coming off imo. You don't take Salah off for obvious reasons, and Diaz was the best player on the park. As soon as Diaz came off, we lost an outlet and the biggest threat on the park. Sadio did well I thought, but it was right he got subbed for Jota, a change I would have made.

That was a semi tough chance. There were various complex movements involved to get the header right. Not fair to criticize him on that.

Almost too much bend on that cross from Trent, by the time it reached Mane it was behind him so getting the header on target became a lot more difficult.

Just watched the replay & he didn’t look at all pleased to be subbed off, which is understandable but he was certainly on the outer when everyone else was celebrating the win at the end. It looked like Klopp talking to him beside the stage when everyone else was still on there celebrating or did I imagine it?

Nah from what I saw he was laughing & joking along with everyone else immediately after the game & was dancing with the boys in the changing room - no need to go all out Harv on his ass...

Good to hear. I just watched the video of them dancing in the locker room & there was a few missing but Ox was sat down on his phone, probably tweeting or whatever. On the other hand Tsimikas was partying like he’d won it for us

The league cup is prob just another day for him, after winning the AFCON last month, haha. After the AFCON final he said he felt bad celebrating on the pitch in front of Salah… maybe he had similar feelings for Mendy yesterday..

I assumed it was because he was Muslim and alcohol was being sprayed - have seen this in other events recently also

Tsimikas seems like a great lad who has integrated himself into the squad nicely despite his relative lack of game time.
