Yeah he offers something different to our other midfielders with his dribbling skills. Should have tested Schmiechel there one time but his control let him down after great lead up play. He’s only going to get better with more game time too.

He has really upped his game, need him to stay fit and get a run of games. Lovely footballer and we are seeing glimpses of the guy we thought we bought. The weight of his passing is special, just needs to up his stamina levels. He has played alot of games recently and is probably feeling the effects.. as he looked knackered in the 2nd half.

He's been doing very well of late, and like you say Dan, theres been more than a few glimpses of his ability, especially some lovely slalom runs.
But it's the simple things he's doing that's caught my eye, those basic movements, quick layoffs etc that are really promising for me.
Dock one point last night for a small moment of indecision that led to Gomez getting booked, but just a small thing in his overall performance which was again very classy.

With Lallana actually playing well too we have so many options depending on the situation -

          Hendo Keita Wijnaldum

          Fabinho Milner Oxlade-Chamberlain

          Lallana Hendo Milner

          Hendo Wijnaldum Fabinho

          Keita Hendo Fabinho

Completely agree with this. Spot on. I reckon he's got so much more to give. He could be really special.

The groin is a real problem for him. I'm sure we'll investigate if need be. Thankfully Minamino looks a lot more robust. I don't think we'll start him in the midfield three but he could do a job there IMO.

Gutted for him and for us. Paul Put and Guinea forcing him to play so soon after his initial groin injury was gross negligence. They’ve really ****ed him over.

Might actually have been the FGF president who was the bigger culprit, but still...

Speaking in an interview with Football Factory Radio (via the Liverpool Echo), FGF president Antonio Souare slammed Liverpool’s diagnosis of Keita’s injury as ‘hasty and pretentious’, before definitively stating that the country’s star performer ‘will play at the African Cup of Nations’:

‘First we wish a very good and fast healing to Naby, as far as I know the adductors cannot prevent him from playing the African Cup of Nations 2019 that will be played from 22 June for Guinea.’

‘The adductors [injury] is two to three weeks of unavailability. The Liverpool coach has to pull himself together, let the doctors do their job.’

‘Naby Keita belongs to a state before belonging to Liverpool. I remind the Liverpool coach a little bit of the rules if he does not know it.’

‘So it’s hasty and pretentious to make statements like this. What we do know is that Naby Keita will play at the African Cup of Nations 2019.’
