I think Ox should start this one personally with Naby off the bench.

      Everything is awesome.

He's been absolutely ripping it up in training apparently. Really hope he starts today. He's going to come good, I can feel it.

Played really well in pockets. Nowhere near his potential though - we were collectively "excited ' when he was signed.

Is it a mental thing? Does Jurgen need to take him away for a long weekend?

Was going to say the same.

He was good. But without an assist or a goal. Needs to turn promising to actual delivering tangible moments of match winning genius. He’s worth persevering with though, because when it clicks with him he could be unplayable.

His match involvement is dreadful if you dig into the stats. He's frustrating because if he was anything like a Gerrard, take the game by the scruff of the neck type, he'd be deadly. But he hasn't been that. And i'm basing this off his all his games for us and not just the blue****e.

I thought he was really good today actually, one of our better players, and was disappointed to see him taken off when he was... but I do agree that he’s nowhere near the player we thought we were getting and that him “coming good” might mean being suitable as a squad player, whereas I initially thought he was gonna be the player we’d build our midfield around..

I don’t think much can be drawn from the first competitive game in three months, think the whole team will need a few games to time to find their rhythm again.

Fair point- one thing we can confirm from the first game back though, is that Lovren is ****...

Based on that, he had an excellent game!

Yeah, noticed how we went flat after he went off...gotten worse after Matip went off too.
Won't say his name but if we had lost that game with their chance that hit the post, good luck to him on here on another thread!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I think that with Salah out it made sense to start him, as Firmino and Minamino look to come deep and Keita does look to break forward from midfield, I thought that he was playing quite well and was unlucky to go off (not sure if it was a fitness thing), all the changes being made gave the game a feel of a preseason friendly where you have a load of players out on the pitch but they don't really have a cohesive formation.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Keita has underwhelmed but I did think he played well yesterday and anything that resembled a quick, forward pass or burst forward disappeared when he went off.

I find this constant 'when will they win it?' narrative in the media to be boring, disrespectful to our opponents and potentially aimed at undermining LFC's achievements. It doesn't matter when we win it, as long as we do. These 9 games are a mini-season on their own, completely disrupted and bizarre, but necessary. I will draw few conclusions from them, even if some will use them as a stick to beat us with ('anti-climax' etc). Six draws will do me. Get the pot, and plan for next season. But we will suffer without our fans, no doubt. More than they will at the Emptyhad.
