Is it that outdatedOriginally posted by Pablo View PostI reckon that outlook is becoming a bit old-fashioned and out-dated now Lecter. I think sports science has moved on from that. He looks so fit already. They will have a million metrics on all aspect of his fitness. They know he's close and they've no need to rush him.
The way they have publicised that he'll be back in full training before the end of Feb shows how confident they are.
Assuming there's no more setbacks I'd expect him to play about 10 games before the end of the season, which will be a massive boost before the run-in.
Are you forgetting the injuries to Ings???
I happened to be in the company of somebody before Christmas who occasionally works for LFC on the injury treatment side of things and this is why I am adding a cautionary note to all thisBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. He was one of the first to go to that Doctor in the states.
Without googling I am taking a punt at his name being Dr Richard Steadman.Modifying post.

Fowler was out for a long time if I remember rightly, its probably forgotten about because Owen rose to prominence during his absenceOriginally posted by Liverpool View PostDon't think Fowler was out that long? Other two being fringe players at the time of injury.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

No his ACL was done against Everton in a tackle with Thomas MyhreOriginally posted by Assassin View PostLigament damage in Fowler's right knee received against a Norwegian XI in Oslo on 31 July 1997 kept him out for the first six matches of the 1997/98 season.
Sure it happened just after the new year and he missed the World Cup and pre-season and only returned in about the November or December
Even when he came back then he was plagued by injury over the next few years after thatBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

if I was him i'd be busting to get back too - especially in a season like this.
but we cant let sentiment get in the way - if he's fit (and the medical staff clear him) then he needs to earn a place in the team - come in straight away and be up to speed. How often have we seen Lalana come on this season and been way off the speed of the game.
couple of reserve games required first

I suspect that they will want to see how his knee reacts to striking a ball fully with his right foot before he even starts first team training, as you have rightly said all we have seen is him tapping a ball so farBob Paisley - "This club has been my life.
