I was really impressed with his energy, positioning and drive last night. Definitely worth consideration against Man Utd.

Absolutely ****ing not. All he's good for is about 20mins off the bench sprinting around putting pressure on and losing the ball repeatedly.

Our midfield has to be Fabinho, Thiago (when fit) and then one of the others depending on opponent

At the moment I would agree with Harv he looks good as a sub but has seemed to struggle when starting games. Not sure if this is a fitness issue or something else but I think he's probably in the Shaq role of a couple of years ago, a decent option for cameo roles from the bench but a way off being a starter. Maybe that will change if he can prove himself and his fitness. If he could get back to where he was before his first major injury with us he'd be a great option, but for me that's a way off at the moment and I would see him primarily as sub.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

AOC is an important option given that Elliott/Jones/Thiago are/have been/will be injured. We need numbers when we play twice a week. And I think Klopp will have Hendo in there more often than not.

He did have a decent cameo however, he's come of the bench before, looked good and when Klopp has rewarded him with a start he's followed up with a stinker.

I think he's done as a first team choice, we need to replace him with someone who will genuinely challenge the others for one of those starting berths in the team.

He is meant to be on 120k a week... That could go to Salah. But he signed until 2023, so we are stuck with him for another year and a half. Hopefully he will come good but his passing has a bit of the toe punt to it. Id say we do need another midfielder in tbe summer, with seemingly so many injured for a lot if the time, and Millie getting old... but we also need to sell one too, and Ox is last choice, and does not look like that is going to change.

Bet if you go thru the match thread the feelings on Ox won't echo the stats

Yeah he’s been written of by most. He is playing well when called upon recently. He seems to be playing that disguise pass that Thiago uses quite a lot and is looking to get into scoring positions. His assist v Brighton was sublime. Needs to keep going and improving.

That was his best game for us in a long while, last night.

He was good, and I'm rooting for him, but I sometimes wish he'd keep the ball moving a bit faster.

I thought he was pretty wasteful earlier in the game but overall it was a positive performance (for him )

Thought he did well - he plays better when he's got a physical/speed advantage against his opposite number. I think he thinks he's stronger and faster than he is () so loses out more against stronger players.

But happy for him, must be a big confidence boost when you boss the champions of Spain.

Definitely one of his better recent performances & I feared the worst when I saw him on the ground & a replacement getting readied. I played on for a bit so hopefully it was just a knock. I think he starts vs WH this weekend too. Or Jones?
