I read similar in an article about us after Dembele- if we bought him, Barca would have to pay all of the add ons in 1 go- which is why they were mentioning a 2 year loan, similar to the James deal

PSG have used that device before as well with Mbappe. Although for FFP loopholes.

Don't clubs usually put clauses into deals about add ons where if you sell they player on quickly you have to pay alot/all of them? I was reading an article on it a while back but can't remember where it was
