£21m loan fee plus €290K per week wages its a lot of moneyOriginally posted by labourRed View PostFinancial.
It's a big loan fee. As Klopp said, massive, massive money. And for whatever reason, that's not happening this summer.
Also factor in FSG policy on transfer clearly is buy young sell for profit later. Coutinho is 27 and that cycle has ended (maybe earlier than ideal) but I can understand the pass nevertheless.
That said in the short term I think he'd work well given he knows our game, players etc. So I'm in the pro camp despite it being a nonrunner.

I think the loan fee covers the wages. Parent company pays the player as usual but loan fee covers that. Same for Wilson.Originally posted by Lecter View Post£21m loan fee plus €290K per week wages its a lot of money
That's how I understand it anyway.
No one is paying 36m for Coutinho for a year with no buy clause written in stone, surely.

No its loan fee plus the wages, any buy clause is on top of thatOriginally posted by labourRed View PostI think the loan fee covers the wages. Parent company pays the player as usual but loan fee covers that. Same for Wilson.

Barcelona are offloading him to finance a move for Neymar hence their high demandsBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

We won the CL ffs, when a lot of people were complaining that we were not playing well (including myself) at the start of the season.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostI really hope your wrong but I tend to agree, at least one top player to freshen up the squad, and I don't think Fredo has ever been proven right with his optimism bouts. Which got me a bit worried.
The optimism is warranted. We almost won the league and we won the European Cup.Are we winning?

History should tell you to be cautious. How often do teams get huge points totals in successive years (other than City)Originally posted by Fredo View PostWe won the CL ffs, when a lot of people were complaining that we were not playing well (including myself) at the start of the season.

Also the assumption here is that every other team hasnt made additions (like LFC) now its not impossible for us to do a Spurs and improve further without additions but for me its unlikely
I fully expect our points total to be lower than last yearBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I was reading that 21m covers the wages too. Something like £11m loan fee and £10m wages.Originally posted by Lecter View PostNo its loan fee plus the wages, any buy clause is on top of that

Haven't got a link to hand but that's what I read.

They can demand what they like but if that's true there'll be a short list of **** all that'll be interested in those numbers.Originally posted by Lecter View PostNo its loan fee plus the wages, any buy clause is on top of that

It's not like he's flying at the moment either.
