I think he's fit, probably won't be risked tomorrow

That's my thinking too, he could probably play tomorrow if we were a bare-bones squad, but there's no point in risking him when we have a CL final brewing and we have other midfielders chomping at the bit to make their mark.

Id rather have him on the bench if he is fit.

He has a lot of responsibility in that midfield which is a big ask but he's been absolutely miles off his best. Looks so slow and awkward & has not done the CB's any favours in the last two games. Apart from a lack of craft imo we suffer from a real lack of a pace in that midfield. I like Fab but I find him frustrating on times but in saying that there is **** all around him when Thiago is not there.

I reckon he is one of those players that takes 5 or so games to get into a groove.

But Eze rinsed him last night and that led to the goal.

A comedy of errors and players really not arsed enough...
Trent ball watching as usual, fab having to come to the right hand side to cover, ball played between Nat and vvd, vvd nearest and he's really putting in no big effort to stop the player shooting.
This really needs to be a big wake up call, stop all the ****ing hugging **** and make more effort.
Playing like in pre-season friendly mode.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

he's been so bad and unfortunately we need him on his A game asap. Trent is also one who really needs to get it together quick smart.

Not sure we can blame Virgil. We were playing a typically high line. Right on the Half Way, we just cant do that when one of the defenders has zero pace. Perfect run from Zaha, who knew he could roat Philips, a great pass, and I dont think Virgil could get anywhere near it.

Viera has really improved Palace. They looked tactically very astute compares to the old days of Hodgson etc.

I don't blame VVD to be honest, damage was done previous to that. Palace, much like Leicester & Spurs are more than happy to concede possession, drop back and then counter with their pace and power.

Palace's goal was an excellent break with a perfect, pin-point finish to pretty much put it in the one place Alisson couldn't reach.

Fab could/should have stopped Eze at source and Nat looked liked our 5th choice CB - no blame on him, he's super limited.

Harsh to really blame it on us IMO.

As Carra pointed out though Nat body shape was all wrong, clearly Fab dived in & Trent was just strolling back. It was a great finish but the led up to the goal was completely avoidable imo.

Fabinho's been below his best for a while imo. In an ideal world, we'd be rotating him and Hendo (not regularly, but at least some of the time) in that 6 role. But with the usual injuries we've not really had that luxury.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Agree 100% as usual mr shaggy.

Its almost as if we could do with another midfielder

In fairness Fab took a kick at him to try to stop him but Eze rode the challenge - it was a perfect counter attack goal
