Ffs Dan - he is arguably the best DM in the world and has been outstanding all season. Today he was single handedly carrying our midfield - Hendo was awol (as he’s been most of the season) and leaving huge gaps on our right side with Curtis being a kid still learning the game. That chance was fantastic defending - the ball dropped on his left at pace, he killed it and shot in a split second.......Rodri did great to get the block inOriginally posted by danperkins View PostThere's no grey area with him, either outstanding or ****. Not quite sure how he didn't score that open goal.
If you want to bump a thread about a poor midfielder go after captain untouchable

It was an open goal, it just fell to the wrong guy. He has outstanding all season? He has only played 4 league games including this one. I find his performances so contrasting.Originally posted by Irishnev View PostFfs Dan - he is arguably the best DM in the world and has been outstanding all season. Henderson was garbage as was Jones and, said as much in the match thread so no need to lose your ****, don't think what I said was unreasonable

Have to say I agree, Hendo and Jones left Fabinho working between the gaps they were leaving, tough game for the midfield today. Chance came at him quick and have to say Rodri’s block was just one hell of an effort so fair ****s to him.
On another day, Fab would bury that...

He doesn't have the confidence in his shooting to attempt a snap shot with the ball bouncing, which a striker would, so took time to get the ball under control. By the time he had, the defender got an incredible block in. With a split second more time he would 100% have scored, but could well have if he'd just hit it early. Shame that the chance dropped to a CDM and not to one of our three strikers.Last edited by Kenneth; 03-10-21, 10:56 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I think Hendo was briefed to aid attacks more to the right in Trent's absenceOriginally posted by Irishnev View PostFfs Dan - he is arguably the best DM in the world and has been outstanding all season. what a load of ****. Im first to get on players backs for **** finishing (cough Mane cough)
If anyone thinks that chance was easy then theyve never played football and only watched it on tv or played it on the computer
That ball came to him fast, somewhat unexpectedly, on his wrong side and at a tight angle. He killed it dead and then shot in a split second, not sure what more he can do TBH other than attempt a cross body volley on his wrong foot that he'd probably shank into the stands 9/10 times. It was an incredible piece of recovery defending to block it. Sometimes you just have to give credit where its due and in this case its to Rodri.
