Philips went to the end of his contract most times for me on Fifa despite me putting him on the transfer list at the start of any campaign

Thiago we have been unlucky with. Genuine world class player when fit, just that the being fit part is a major problem.

Says a lot about our current options though, that unlike last season we are not pinning hopes on Thiago having an injury free run.

Thiago is probably my favourite player to watch, an absolutely sublime footballer.

I understand the sentiment however i think you're doing Salah a massive dis-service.

It'll be a while before we see a player as good as him in a Liverpool jersey again.

Yeah I realised after I posted that my Thiago sentiment may have got bundled in with Salah. I meant with Thiago I'm happy to see him go asap whereas with Salah we have zero choice either now or next summer.

But getting their salaries off will help us in the long run. Like Redreet says elsewhere we have Doak now. You can blame Red.

He's a luxury player this season. That's it. His wages will be off the books next summer, and at least his experience will be around the place in the meantime.

A 'set back' in training means he won't be available for the game at the weekend. 'Should' be ready to go after the international break.
