    The only surprise is it took so long and we got such a long (for him) run in the side playing almost every minute. It was always just a matter of time.

    Exactly. The youngsters must dream of learning from a master like Thiago. Bajetic for example must be pinching himself & hopefully Jude can see how he can improve his game training with the genius too.

    [QUOTE=Shaggy;3829094]Morton? [/QUOTRipping it

    He isn't bad. https://www.thisisanfield.com/2023/0...layers-graded/

    Like Harvey Elliott, Morton has found his stride with a loan at Blackburn and looks poised to take up a first-team role at Liverpool upon his return.

    Though it took time for the 20-year-old to adjust to the physicality of the Championship, he has begun to control games from his role at the base of the midfield – although Rovers fans would appreciate more consistency.

    His delivery from set-pieces remains a key feature, having a hand in more goals than his three assists in 30 games suggests.

    GRADE: A

    He's been below-par this season but we've had him playing like a dog, like ****ing Gattuso or something. Get legs around him and he'd be our best player again.
    it was absolutely inevitable this was going to happen, he was the only one actually attempting to make tackles too.

    That is the one thing he has not been this season.

    He was regularly putting in the most tackles and interceptions in games this season whilst the other senior midfielders lag miles behind him.

    It’s hard to believe what a mess we’ve let the midfield sink into.

    I don’t think anyone of the senior midfielders doesn’t have an issue with with either regression, availability or an expiring contract, or a combination of those.
