If we’d had the luxury of being able to be selective with his starts, Thiago would have been more than handy on all four fronts.

We gotta protect ourselves in these huge contracts given to players who become perma crocks!... I'm not familiar with how's it done but isn't there some kind of sick leave clause for clubs to reduce the salary paid out to those for the length of time they are out?Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Would imagine that unless a player had agreed to a pay as you play type contract that whatever contract they signed when they joined would be binding regardless of injury.
I imagine it does not suit most players to be out injured a lot either as they would miss out on various bonuses and also lose the ability to look for an improved contract or be highly sought after by other clubs.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

You just might be onto something there. We could just ship the lazy buggers off to Rwanda.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Of the established big name players we wanted here, he's not far off Morientes and Litmanen as the most disappointing. Never really rated him highly when he played for us. Had a few good games, but overall a bit meh. Obviously had quality, but never really got the whole thiago lovein and said several times over the years he should've been binned off because he was a permacrock. Won't miss him.Last edited by fabinho; 17-04-24, 07:49 PM.Glass half empty club

No doubting Thiago was disappointing because of his injuries but I loved watching him. He was pure class at times.Originally posted by fabinho View PostOf the established big name players we wanted here, he's not far off Morientes and Litmanen as the most disappointing. Pure class on the train in field, pinging those 70yd laser guided passes, then trapping the return with a pube, the guys a God.Originally posted by labourRed View PostNo doubting Thiago was disappointing because of his injuries but I loved watching him. He was a phenomenal player, but I feel we never really got to see him at his best for a long period because he always seemed to pick up injuries. This last year in particular has been very frustratingThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
