He was everywhere after those changes. I presume he was left with Nunez central and Diaz right but Jota was popping up all over the place. Really stepped up and took the responsibility as a leader. We’ve seen Konate on the weekend, Jota and Jones today. Good to see a new group taking the responsibility after all those senior players leaving.

He's my favorite player! Works his balls off, brave on the ball and in the tackle which is unusual for a forward, he's a bit of a loon as well haha. Love his celebrations when he scores haha! Not totally suited to the system, as he is a Fowleresque type who needs to be free to maraurd in the box, but still looks our best striker. Shame so many players look better centrally, and I still prefer a false nine type.
I reckon if he stays fit and the system is built to his specific strengths he can easily get 30+ a season.
He is probably my second favourite player at the moment.
I really hope he gets a bit of luck with injuries in 2024.
