Hard to know what to say about a tragedy like this. I hope they died quickly or were unconscious. But the family left behind...my god. What can you say. Rip to both.

Leaving to mourn: youngish mum, dad, wife, 3 little kids. And we don't know about Andre fully yet. The worst of the worst tragedy. Hope the families can recover from this.

Apparently he was on the way to catch a ferry back to England to prepare for pre season. Was as not to fly because of a recent surgery.

The Mail is a dirty rag publishing pictures of the aftermath and following the family to take pictures of them at the scene. Don't have high standards for them but this type of thing is really low.

I know it is probably some freelance photographer but they are buying the pictures and publishing them.

Ah the media love this kind of ****, absolute scumbags.

This is beyond awful. His poor wife and the kids, plus his parents lost both sons. People die everyday and their deaths are no less important, but when it is someone you have a connection to, it's hits even more. Rip Jota. Fly with the angels.

This is truly upsetting. It's the end of the day and it still doesn't seem real.

What should have been a summer of celebration has been book ended by sadness and tragedy. First the awful incident at the parade and now this.

                            Life is so fragile. Rip.
                            Oh I don't know.

I’m still struggling to process this….. I hope the club does some special mosaics in our first home game. I also feel it would be right to ’retire’ Diogo’s shirt number 20 as a mark of deep respect

It’s been a proper sad day
