I do think 40m is a push. Raya at Brentford is probably one of the best potentially available keepers in the premier league and Frank mentioned wanting at least £40m for him

Based on this fee; 40mill should be the minimum hahahaha

I would like to think we could get a bit more than £20m for him, given we got £12.5m a few years back for Danny Ward and Kelleher is in a different league to him. Problem is keepers tend not to go for massive fees unless they are proven quality and he only has ~25 first team games experience. Also the fees listed above are all from buying clubs who have alot of money (including Everton at the time) and are top clubs (not including Everton ). I don't see Kelleher going to another top club, he'd probably be looking at an established PL side who are usually midtable pushing for Europe, they are unlikely to have huge amounts of money to chuck around so that IMO limits the fee we will likely get, but makes it more likely we can get good buy back or sell on terms.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

In hindsight yes, but prior to that move he had over 150 senior games under his belt (35 games with a PL team and 121 games on loan in lower leagues) with the 35 PL games coming last.

So saying 20m, even 25m for Kelleher with out 20 senior clubs games (zero on loan games in a lower league to help bulk his numbers) is not really a diss on him, more a reflection of his lack of game time.

If he moves and we get 30m or 40m I would be delighted, and if he goes I hope your price is the one we get, but would be surprised as that sort of money still buys a really good keeper with loads of first team experience.

            Nothing surprising.

At least it's a loan deal and not permanent I suppose

Sell with a buy back clause unless the lad is happy to be loaned out for the next 4/5 seasons

We searched for years for one competent goalie and now we've got a world class keeper and a lad with the potential to be equally as good.

We need to replace Adrian as well. Couple of homegrown players to free up spaces

We've been linked a lot to Ron-Robert Zieler, on a free who will be classed as homegrown, thanks to his Man Utd days.

Marcelo Pitaluga is the goalie on loan at Macclesfield. He's supposedly being looked at by some European clubs, so we'll see if Klopp decides to have him as No.2, with RRZ as No.3, or vice versa.

Been linked with Brentford. Smart move for both parties imo.

Not sure it is unless Raya is leaving Brentford for big money?

Raya has been excellent for them the past few seasons and is a far more proven keeper than Kelleher.

I really rate Kelleher but no way would I get rid of Raya for him if I was at Brentford. Raya plays like a slightly smaller version of Alisson in termns of being a sweeper keeper (obvs not as good as Alisson).

Raya has turned down new contract offers from Brentford and only has a year remaining on his current one. He's looking for move.

Kelleher has also been linked with Spurs and Brighton.
