It’s all very, very strangeOriginally posted by Zapater View PostPeople are such pussies these days. Having a public cry at a player because of social media. Journalists seriously need to grow up. "Hurts" and "burning bridges" - they really need to ask themselves why that's the case and why they need to screenshot that and post it in a public forum. Not really a great move when you're self proclaiming compassion.

People are entitled cunts basically - they cry arse about not winning the league while forgetting that we just rebuilt an entire midfield, plus injuries, plus learning early in the season that Klopp is leaving.
I'd say we've done rather well. It's a shame we couldn't win the league under Klopp but the reality is that we never were. I reckon Klopp would have been happy scraping a top four finish. The cup is nice though

Not to mention we're competing with a side that's basically cheating their way to the title. One bad week and you're out of the title race basically. Its ludicrous.Originally posted by DerKrampus View PostPeople are entitled cunts basically - they cry arse about not winning the league while forgetting that we just rebuilt an entire midfield, plus injuries, plus learning early in the season that Klopp is leaving.

Thats a fair point. The pressure on this season was insane.Originally posted by Harv View PostNot to mention we're competing with a side that's basically cheating their way to the title. One bad week and you're out of the title race basically. Its ludicrous.
Klopp leaving. Then having so many bad decisions go against us.
The City pen is a 2 point swing to us.
The Arsenal pen is a 2 point swing to us against them.
The Spurs game.
It did start to feel like destiny. We would have been clear to the point that a draw away at Man U would not have felt catastrophic.
But you cannot do it against a machine like City. The players they have to call on in reserve, even players that dont get a game like the lad they bought from Wolves for £60m...
City are so strong that only perfection beats them, getting close to 100 points out of 114 available beats them - thats why I personally want Arsenal to experience the futility of it all this season. Arsenal have been immense. It wont be enbough.Modifying post.

Buzzo, this is the Nunez "forum" how dare you talk in more general terms
Think you do have a point regarding City being a (financially doped and if Pep's track record is anything to go by maybe other forms of doping too) machine and also with regards to the decisions that went against us, but we still fell apart after working so hard to overcome those set backs.
We can look outward this season at Cheaty and the more than a few dodgy decisions, but when it was back in our own hands we more our less crapped the bed and a number of our senior players all started to churn out stinker performances at the same time.
We could go on about the amount of games played, but Arsenal have had players putin a lot of minutes too.
Just had a look, we have only two players in our squad that made 40 or more starts in all comps (VVD with 43 and Diaz with 40) this season. Followed by McAllister with 38 starts and then Nunez with 33.
If you want to widen that net to 30 starts or more, then we have had 10 players do that.
Arsenal have had seven players start 40 or more games and they have had 14 start 30 or more games.
So whilst playing more minutes is a valid complaint for us, it is something that could be said for Arsenal too and it could also be argued that clubs would want to be playing more games as it means they are going deeper in competitions and increasing the chance of winning something.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

The ref blowing to stop play when Gakpo had a tap in was also another clear reffing error that went against us.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThats a fair point. The pressure on this season was insane.

So, if those huge mistakes hadn’t happened, the top of the table would look like this
Liverpool - 85 points
Arsenal - 80 points
Man City - 81 points (with a game in hand)

Peak Mane was getting between 16 and 26 goals from similar number of games for us (but in all likelihood more minutes) not sure on his assist stats though. Clearly not as good as Mane's numbers but I don't think they are *that* bad when looked at in isolation.
The problem is that he should probably be on at least 25 goalsBetter than Suarez apparentlyOriginally posted by Harv View Post-cough - Bobby Firmino -cough -

But still trailing Divoc... stats eh. Wtf...

I want us to be the only team to have stopped them “fairly” and while I used to like Arsenal I want them to win **** all know because of their fan base. They called us bottlers when we won 10 in a row and got 97 points.Originally posted by Norbs View Post100%
