      That's just three recent/current examples in the PL of teams in the hunt for or winning the title without a single high scoring centre forward/striker.

      It can and does get done, it just requires the rest of the team to be geared around a lot of players getting a modest amount of goals apiece.

            The number of words doesnt affect his ability to score. His shooting is the worst in Europe statistically, and we sit 3rd in the table. He was bought to score goals, and he is not doing enough to justify a place in the team. We need to buy a better finisher. If Salah stays then he must go, imho.

            If Jota could stay fit it may not have been such an issue.

              I can only assume that the number of words does affect people's ability to read and understand what was typed though.




              I was not talking about Nunez, or whether he is or is not good enough and was pretty clear in my post that I was not.


              BG said that no team trying to win a title can carry "a poor finishing centre forward"


              All I did was list three recent seasons in the Premier league since 2021 where exactly that happened.


              So teams on a regular basis do stay in title races with low scoring centre forwards.

                Come on... it was a defence of our own number 9, or why would you say number nine lots of times for comparison?

                And were they carrying a "poor finishing centre forward ", or was the centre forward taking less shots, but scoring a much higher percentage?

                Anyway, Nunez is on par with Nat Phillips for shots on target %... so there!

                    Hey make up what you want my post to be about if you like. I know what I meant and I have tried to further explain it. If you want to read between lines that are not even there, then by all means do so.

                    I said number nine as the guys who were low scoring in the teams I mentioned were played in the number nine position.

                    If I wanted to get involved again in the endless Nunez debate then I would have dived back in with a "Nunez is good enough for Liverpool" or "Nunez is not good enough for Liverpool" comment.


                    As for Nat Philips. Well he is never going to make it at any club near the top end of any top league so leave the poor chap alone.

                      If I thought he'd correct his faults I'd want him to stay because I think he has other parts to his game that would make him fantastic. I don't think he will though so I'm on the side of selling. He reminds me a lot of poor old Emile.

"Hurts" and "burning bridges" - they really need to ask themselves why that's the case and why they need to screenshot that and post it in a public forum.
