A lot of fans seem to have written off the ability for players to improve technically over time but if you look at others there is clear improvement from their early 20s vs their mid to late 20s.

Henderson is an example of a player who is so much better technically now than he was at 23.

I have not slated him at every opportunity... and there have been many. I have also praised him when he has been great.

I try to be objective though.

Salah for example misses ****loads of easy opportunities. He rarely gets slated. Why not?………he should be open to the same amount of criticism

True, even in that last game when Salah made a break from the halfway line, he had Trent open on the inside of him for an easy tap it, but chose to go alone and scuffed the shot. If that was Nunez, he'd get pelters, but we give Salah a much easier ride, in part because he's earned it, but the double standards are there.

Your comparing a multiple golden boot winner and Nunez, Pretty sure if he posts Salah numbers people would cut him some slack.

We have history with Salah, once upon a time, a 1 on 1 was a certain goal.....now its more often than not, So we forgive the misses.

I also think we are not the machine we once were, So we create less and therefore we have to convert chances or points can be dropped and thats where the criticisms multiply

Pretty sure he does. But he has proved himself over several years. Personally I think we made a mistake paying 300k a week for a 30 year old who looks like he can no longer beat his man, but he is still knocking them in.

Ultimately, I dont care how many he misses if he is scoring 30+ a season and we are not dropping points.

But at this point I still think he is basically an upgunned Djibril Ciise, who lacks the technique of a top class (80m) player. I dont think he is ****e. I do think he can tear other teams apart, but we need to be clever to exploit his strengths, as I dont think he has much control on his shots while running at pace, as opposed to Salah, Mane, Suarez, Torres etc. I am not "slating" him. I dont think anyone else is on here. Just offering some critique. Its no worse than some of the hyped up praise he is receiving.

He is certainly no Djimi Traore [emoji16]

A few minutes ago, Darwin Nunez had an effort at goal.

It was his 50th shot in the Premier League this season. Only four players have attempted more in the division in 2022-23 despite this only being the Liverpool forward's ninth game.
