Scoring all kinds of goals, too. I’ve a good feeling that he’ll be more clinical this coming season, and really light things up.I don't tip

The difference being. Nunez ripped us a new asshole, Lumpkaku didn’t.Originally posted by red g View PostI Imagine like a Lukuka, highlights reel will make him look like a £100 million player but hiis blooper reel a league one player.
Most people seem to forget, Nunez played in a dysfunctional team last season. He’ll be a beast…..

He played well against joe Gomez at right back in a counter attacking set up. and scored a scruffy consolation in the second leg because Konate fell over. “Ripped us a new asshole
, what nonsense.
He’s not a player that will create his own goals so his numbers next season will depend on the level of creativity and quality of crosses of others. Not the kind of player we’re used to assessing in recent times, and if we’re being honest, probably not the kind of player we need if we stick to our 4-3-3 possession based set up, but maybe we won’t.Last edited by Kenneth; 17-06-23, 02:12 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Despite our dysfunction , he continially missed sitters. Placing a ball past a keeper rather than punting it into the stands does not require the team to be in harmony or
require a decent grasp of English.
So while he may feel more settled, he has already shown his lack of effectiveness compared to Jota, Diaz and Gakpo. He is going to have to wait and work hard to get back in the team with even more pressure to perform. If he is not being effective in the system Klopp will play someone who he feels does the job he is asking.Last edited by Charly; 17-06-23, 02:53 PM.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

He will have limited time to learn it or Klopp will get rid. If he isn't working hard enough on it then it reflects poorly on his attitude.Originally posted by Angryred View PostHaven't even bothered to learn English properly due to the abundance of translators in the squad along with Pep Ljinders & Victor Matos...Klopp notes this in a recent interview.
You could call me a hypocrit but what you don't know is I currently have a monster 67 day streak going on Duolingo so am I speaking from a position of immense experience

Fair play if you are learning a 2nd or more languages as it is quite difficult to learn another language so is he having issues with getting to grips with the English language? The grammar & idioms can be quite taxing for foreigners but they can only learn that quickly by being around people who are duo-linguists.Originally posted by Pablo View PostHe will have limited time to learn it or Klopp will get rid. Players just need to grasp the basics to be able to follow the instructions of their coaches within their clubs & learn the other stuff within their communities outside of football.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

I believe he became fluent in English in his later years as he would have had the likes of Lucas & Coutinho to help him settle early in his career with us.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostDid Bobby ever really learn to speak English?
Brendan would have been fluent in Spanish so he would have been able to explain English instructions to him in Spanish.Last edited by Angryred; 19-06-23, 01:08 PM.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Bobby speaks Portuguese, not Spanish.Originally posted by Angryred View PostI believe he became fluent in English in his later years as he would have had the likes of Lucas & Coutinho to help him settle early in his career with us.

Anyway, he’s also a fluent German speaker so would have had no problem communicating with Klopp

There are a lot of lexical similarities in both Spanish / Portuguese languages, not too many derivations in grammar & much of the vocabulary is shared so wouldn't have been any issues in communication with Brendan's version of Spanish.Originally posted by rudedog View PostBobby speaks Portuguese, not Spanish.

Good point on German though with Klopp.Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

That would be super helpful if Spanish was spoken by Brazilians.Originally posted by Angryred View PostI believe he became fluent in English in his later years as he would have had the likes of Lucas & Coutinho to help him settle early in his career with us.

So still plenty of time for Darwin to learn English, if it took Bobby several years to do so?Originally posted by Angryred View PostI believe he became fluent in English in his later years as he would have had the likes of Lucas & Coutinho to help him settle early in his career with us.

Aside from the matter of Portuguese/Spanish, Rodgers was only here for Bobby’s first few months anyway.
There are currently Spanish speakers in the squad, such as Thiago and Adrian, so we can make the same excuses for Darwin..
