Score again against Luton on Sunday (which he will) and surely that's argument over? No more snidey comments at every perceived mistake, no more gloating when he misses a chance, no more reluctant, backhanded compliments when he destroys another team, caveated with a but... People are just have to accept they were wrong and jump aboard the Nunez train!
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think too much was/is made of his ‘mistakes’ and ‘misses’. He’s young and has settled relatively quickly. I’ll get criticised for saying this but IMO there’s fine margins between him and Haaland.Originally posted by RedReet View PostScore again against Luton on Sunday (which he will) and surely that's argument over? I think that the use of the false 9 was something that was necessary in our previous sides because of the nature of the midfield, in the early years of Klopp the midfield was hardworking and functional but not really creative, as the level of our previous midfield declined it became even more important. The Liverpool 2.0 midfield seems to have much more creativity in it making the false 9 less of a necessity and allowing a more direct player like Nunez lead the line effectively.Originally posted by Rigadon View PostMy concern, last season, was that Klopp didn’t fancy him or, to put another way, wanted to continue with a ‘false nine’ in Gakpo. Not something I supported but felt it would be better to sell Darwin rather than have him on the bench ie IMO he needed to play to build confidence and allow him to ‘relax’ in front of goal, which seemed unlikely under Klopp. I’m really pleased we’ve seemingly decided to go with a more traditional 9. Nunez also gives us options to change formations eg 4-4-2 (Nunez with Salah or Jota upfront). Or 4-4-1-1 (lots of players could play just behind Nunez). The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

No, I am going to continue to laugh because his mistakes are funny to me, and because I am allowed to have my own opinion.
He has turned it around though, and I am pleased for him. He still needs to show consistency across the season, and not just the 4 league goals in 400 odd minutes so far this season. But if he can continue at that rate across the whole season, then he will be up there with HaalandLast edited by Charly; 03-11-23, 11:40 AM.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Basically his fluffers and chuffers are a mystery given he can score fantastic goals when he's in the mood. A video of his goals and misses this season would leave anyone scratching their head.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

I definitely remember saying he fluffed it as well. The memory of what I was referring to is admittedly dim.Originally posted by Charly View PostYou should check out the definirion of a "fluffer" thenExperimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

He’s an enigma when through on goal but it’s clear why. He doesn’t often seek to place the ball.Originally posted by Venton View PostBasically his fluffers and chuffers are a mystery given he can score fantastic goals when he's in the mood. Most of Darwin’s finishes are just him smashing the ball on target without necessarily aiming where. He’s better at finishing when he hits it and doesn’t think too much about it.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!
