Doesnt seem to affect the teams that play us. Go back and you'll see in each game some nasty tackles or constant snidey ****. And they keep doing it with impunity because the ref doesnt seem to want to card anyone in the first half. Look at Silva in a previous match. He did quite a few and even left one that caused our player to get pissy while he walked off with a smirk on his face. They keep doing it. If we had someone like Milner for example he'd have smashed Silva, got his yellow, and silva would have cowered for the rest of the match. Thats how it used to be done in the past. Now days we just let them bully us. If you dont see it then watch the next game and pay more attention.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostWhat do you want us to do, give away silly free kicks and mount up suspensions?

We don’t refereed the same way as most other teams. Opposition frequently get afforded far more leeway than us over what gets penalised and what doesn’t.Originally posted by vlahka View PostDoesnt seem to affect the teams that play us. exactly, our lads in midfield have been fantastic at nicking or intercepting the ball and work hard to recover out of posession. We tactical foul alot so it's not like that lads don't know how to put the foot in or break opposition attacks up, they are just clever about it.

Already seen that. My theory is refs know how certain teams play. Like everton are ****houses so they expect this. Just like championship teams tackle harder, they expect this. Once we start doing something a little more vicious they card us because it stands out. At one stage any time salah got fouled the ref just ignored him because they thought he was diving, or the defenders who constantly cling to him are fine because it happens in every game. In the past we had multiple players who would leave something in and people would cheer. Now when we do it we're called disgraceful. But studs front kicks into our players chest is considered fine. The team needs more backbone.Originally posted by Mark79 View PostWe don’t refereed the same way as most other teams. balanced debateOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostThere is ultimately no point in being part of this thread. Defending a player who is your favourite is one thing. Defending them beyond a point where there is just no balanced debate makes everything pointless.
Even if contributing neutrally. I think it was a poor challenge - specifically if the end result is you get suspended at a time when both player and team need everyone fit and contributing.
Getting called a ****ing bed wetter for pointing that out for **** sake

But it wasn't a tackle, he was favourite to get the ball, we would have had a potential attack which was wasted. Everyone loves storming tackles and leaving a bit on the opponent is all part of it, to win back the ball not to give it away for no reason.Originally posted by vlahka View PostWell screw you all, I cheered happily when he floored him. Would have done the same with any player against those cunts. They dropped us a couple times with some **** tackles that deserved cards and didnt get one. Bring back Milner. Half this lot are too soft.Last edited by Kenneth; 07-01-25, 11:01 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Think you do not see it too often from us as we generally tend to be the team with the ball and not the one having to chase the ball or having to break up sustained periods of pressure against us.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
