I suspect things could have panned out quite differently without it.

Could be absolute bollocks of course.
That club is the one with the old Benfica boss and Neymar who is leaving so they can afford the 400k wages on offer. Could be lazy journalism though.Oh I don't know.

Exactly my opinion.Originally posted by danperkins View PostUnfortunately if you want to play at the highest level, for the best teams... you need to be technically proficient and if you want to play as a striker for LFC, you have to be composed and be ruthless when the chances come.
Haven't changed my opinion on Nunez from the get go, he ll score some goals and work hard for whomever he plays for but he lacks the composure and technique to be a top level striker in the premier league. So in short, he's not good enough.Really?

I doubt it - not his money and he would probably still play him more than Slot.Originally posted by Angryred View PostI bet that Nunez transfer still haunts Klopp! He wanted autonomy over transfers at Liverpool and got it, but the Nunez transfer would have possibly haunted him, given the hefty transfer fee.Really?

I assume you're being sarcastic there. I don't get it, given that the fee was more like 60 plus a load of add ons - some of which have been met - 70 pretty much gets us our money back and we'd turn an accounting profit. Not that he is likely to want to go there, mind. He's not that bad. But, tbh, I'd think about it for £400k a weekOriginally posted by DerKrampus View PostWe're holding out for £5m more which sounds reasonable. I'd love us to bring in Marmoush or Cunha but more importantly, a solid backup CB and quality midfielder.
Really?

He doesn't. We don't play to his strengths at all now. It's blindingly obvious.Originally posted by baitman View PostHe doesn't fit our system... what tosh
He does almost everything right, but just turns a bit "jigsaw" near the end."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

I think the reality of it is we bought him off the back of 1 great season (34 goals in 41 games) thinking that he was someone who would stay at or close to that level, when in terms of goalscoring that was a one off season and his level under Klopp was back to where it was before that season.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostHe scored a great goal, Konate gave him a tap in, and he was offside a lot. We were so open in those games in a way that no premier league game will ever be. A real brain fart by Klopp to think he was what we needed.
Since Slot came in the change of system doesn't really seem to suit him and his performances/stats have dropped off.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
