As much as I have been a critic of Darwin for his lack of technique and quality, you can't deny his effort and work rate and the service to him was ****e.

In saying that, I will be surprised if he is here next season. Certainly will score some goals, always said he would and I hope he scores a few for us this season but imo he's just not the answer for us, hes too inconsistent and erratic and we need better in the long run. Was a nice assist in and worked hard today though imo.

Though it is from a pretty small sample size, he looks the opposite of that this season.

Hard working, holding up play, linking play, tracking back and generally making a good team contribution whenever he gets minutes.

Compared to Jota this season he looks to be doing an awful lot more interacting with the other players around him and providing an outlet for them.

What he has been at times this season is starved of chances and his goal tally is no doubt being impacted by that, but every other aspect of his game is much improved and if the chances start to get created more for him, then we can see if the putting the ball in the net side of things is at the level we need too.

Think this is very much a season where he and a few others, like Gravenberch, can use the clean slate that comes with a new manager to establish themselves. The opportunity to do so is very much there, let's see come next May if we are saying if it was taken or not.

Gravenberch is different, he's been played in a completely different position and that is also a small sample size. Nunez work rate and tracking is admirable, cant fault him whatsoever, for me my opinion on him has not changed, he will score some goals but he is never going to improve technically and he's never not going to do crazy ****.

I want to like him so much but imo he's just not the answer for LFC as a long term striking option.

I think he has improved technically - the pass for Mo yesterday is an example of this

But he has this season. He is linking play well whereas last season he was poor at it.

He is holding the ball far better than last season, he is carrying the ball more, he is far more switched on when it comes to tracking back to help out a full back or midfielder, he now will show an attacker the outside channell and marshall him out there.

His passing accuracy has improved on last season, his numbers when it comes to progressive passing are up on last season's averages, his long passing accuracy is way up.

The list goes on and on for him and whilst it is a really small sample size he has been doing nothing but showing signs that he has improved both technically and tactically.

Maybe he will not keep improving, but maybe he will. One thing that is for sure though is that so far he has shown technically improvement and quite a bit of it, albeit again over a tiny sample size to date.

Is quite possible that he is not the long tern answer to what we need up front, but why not wait and see if that turns out to be the case and just hold out hope that he proves you wrong come the end of the season.

Worst case scenario is that you were right and he gets moved on.

Have said it myself some of his play has improved this season and I hope he can knock a few in for us when Jota isn't there but my concern is that he simply isn't good enough to be a long term option for us as our main striker. I just think we can and will look for someone better and we paid so much for Nunez that it is not really practical for a club like ours to have that money to be on the bench.

For the moment though, he works hard and even if he does some really dumb ****, he has a good attitude and will bang some goals in. Would really loved to be proved wrong on this one.

It must be getting exhausting trying to run defense for Darwin, when people are simply pointing out rational and balanced points. It's genuinely weird that it's so divisive, I don't get it.

If he was wearing size 12 boots instead of size 10 he'd have toe poked that late cross.

But overall he just isn't consistent enough...
And Jota, rarely available so we can sub nunez off and get a decent replacement from the bench.

He plays one of the worst passes of all time in the build up to our first goal. I was still fuming about it when the goal went in
