He’s got all the attributes he needs but he has to find some composure on a regular basis.

What if he was able to focus all his energy and attention solely on scoring, like the other guy gets to do?

If only he wasnt one of the worst finishers. Hopefiully we can get a better return, but Im still not seeing it.

Who knows, but I think it stands to reason that it could. Focusing on one thing tends to make it more achievable than when it one of many of other things to do.

I wouldn’t want to to completely compromise his all action style, just wondering if even a little adjustment could help add some more goals.

Put it this way, do you think Haaland would maintain his scoring rate if he suddenly had to all that other work that Darwin does?

Not sure Haaland would get as many chances if he dropped deeper, but lets not pretend he needs as many chances to.score. City have been totally dominant since he joined. Darwin is several classes below his level.

I'm not really pretending anything.

It's a legitimate consideration.

Haaland needs boat loads of chances to score. His conversion rate is nothing special. Could he maintain it if he were putting in the same all round contribution as Darwin does, or would it drop off to something closer to Darwin's level?

That’s a fair call in all honesty. I know they are much older but it’s similar with Fake Ronnie & Messi. They don’t put anywhere near the same shift as Darwin does & their numbers would fall off a cliff if they had to ( in the Premier League especially) ( even in years gone by to a certain degree, but we’ll never know so it’s just speculation on my part )

Haaland scored 27 goals. Darwin 11.. if we told darwin to goal hand and do **** all else will we get 27 goals,from him?

I don't know. And I'm not suggesting that we should go to that extreme.

I'm just wondering is it conceivable that he could find a greater level a composure in his finishing if he isn't exerting himself so much in all those other areas.

It might not make enough of a difference to get him to 27, but maybe 18, 19, 20?

So, he is both crap at shooting and unlucky... Not sure there is much to salvage from that.
