Wouldn't have won that game without his input."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

He was so bad last night. Looks like his confidence has regressed to where it was earlier in the season. I think he's an ill-fit tbh but would be happy to be proved wrong. Suspect he'll get next season and if he doesn't improve - a lot - then he'll be gone next summer. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Well the team have completely stopped playing to his strengths haven't they. When he's come on in previous games it just been aimless punts upfield hoping he can latch onto them. This game we created nothing for him to even have the chance to **** up the finish.
Cant remember one decent ball getting played to him last night other than the little ball through where he was running away from goal and slipped as he kicked it? Its quite clear he's not an intricate build up, one touch player.
Earlier in the season he was getting multiple good chances per game. The side were looking to play quick passes in behind and crossing to him in the box when he's not being marked by 3 players. Now he just gets scraps. **** hopeful, aimless punts upfield from Hendo/Robbo et al. Slow crosses that give him absolutely no chance. The one time he got a good one was the other game when Trent played a little ball over the top and he scored a ****ing goal would you believe!
I think we've just ****ed him around so much trying to shoehorn him into the side that his confidence has just been completely killed now. He's drifting all over the place on the pitch. If we're going to keep playing this way then I have no idea why we bought him tbh. More ****house transfer business from the powers that be, just like signing Carvalho and making the kid sit on the bench every game."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Agree with that - we've not helped his confidence at all. He looks like the archetypal confidence player and he's completely shorn of it at the moment.Originally posted by Harv View PostWell the team have completely stopped playing to his strengths haven't they. If we have to sell to buy, he won't be here next season; if not as Shags says he'll get next year.
Although he doesn't look a great fit for us at present; very very frustrating last night & also noticed on separate occasions Mo, TAA, Gakpo & Diaz all loked irritated with his movement (or lack of the right movement).

Honestly, in all my years supporting this club, I have never seen a player take this much criticism and laser like focus on his every touch during a game. From day one at preseason. Every single time he touches the ball there's this expectation that it will be perfect and if not...straight onto the forums or social media to have a whingeOriginally posted by S-RED View PostIf we have to sell to buy, he won't be here next season; if not as Shags says he'll get next year.

From not only our own fans but opposition fans too. I just don't get it.
The pressure that's been put on him as a result is absurd for a young player coming to a new country not speaking a lick of the language. Is it the price? Or peoples frustration that we as a club turned to **** in the space of one summer window and he's the scapegoat?, or people enviously watching the Super Mutant at City cheat code his way to the record books and asking why cant Nunez do that? Its perplexing."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Well I’m just watching us play and regretting that we bought a donkey as our main summer signing.
Ultimately, all of the potential mitigations and explanations are rather moot, it’s elite sport, you either do it or you don’t.Last edited by Kenneth; 04-05-23, 08:39 AM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

This headline throws another slant (not that I’ve read the article) interesting stat tho.
[ame]https://twitter.com/anfieldwatch/status/1654029311303712770[/ame]His tally of nine Premier League goals [one every 181 minutes] is unspectacular, but with 15 goals in all competitions he is only two adrift of Luis Suarez’s overall tally during his first full season at Liverpool in 2011-12, as perModifying post.
