They were saying on the radio before that 9 times out of 10 people choose to bowl first at Headingly, so why the **** did we bat?

Yeah some of our decision making in this series has been baffling. They should get Vaughan in as a coach/consultant.

Ponting reckons they would've had a bat too.

They say that if you win the toss then 9 times out of 10 you opt to bat. On that 10th occasion, you inspect the pitch, think about it and then opt to bat.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Robert Key is the Key to stopping england's batting demise and whatever happened to Owais Shah?

Don't think he scored many runs at all for Middlesex this summer.

What a superb morning, great fun. Some lovely hitting. Bopara and Bell must feel proper cuntish sat there watching that.

IMO Ramprakash has to play in the 5th Test, but they'll never pick him in a million years.

Bopara and Bell are complete tits IMO. The selectors will always Ramprakash say he's past it and when he had his chances he did nothing. I doubt we will ever see any english cricketer play once there over the age of 40 like we did with Alec stewart

Broad and Swann put on a partnership of 109 before Broad was out making it 228-8. Harmison in with Swann now and it's 245-8 at lunch

England were all out for 263. So lost by an innings and 80 runs.

If only all Test matches were so short.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Well it looks like we've well and truly chucked the series away now.

Bell and Bopara should be binned immediately but who do we replace them with? Trott, Key, Ramprakash, Denley, Shah? Surely we've got some batsmen who'll offer up a little more resistance than the current bunch. If Flintoff isnt fit then we need to replace him with a specialist batsmen and revert to a four man bowling attack. Let's just hope he's fit.

Cant see the aussies chucking this away now. Pity.
