He just seems to cope and adapt to whatever style he is up against. I don't confess to being a UFC expert, but Henderson has impressed me every time I have seen him fight. And yes, he sure can punch.
But what about Wanderlei? How hard is that mofo?!!
He destroyed poor Lee.

Just utterly brilliant fights and fighter .. that was my first Kung Lee fight .. man he was superb ..such an entertaining style ... think his gaz tank went .. Wandelei is superb .. but I dont think he can hang with the top top guys anymore .. by that i mean top 3, 4 but he is a relevant fighter, would like to see him do another couple of simular type of match ups Him versus Brian Stan would make an excellent match upAnybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Where does Hendo rank all time?
He was dominant in Pride. Holding welter and middle titles simultaneously. Wasn't that great in the UFC second time round losing to Jackson and Silva. Though his clock cleaning of Bisping almost makes up for it. Lost to Shields in Strikeforce before taking the middleweight title.
No doubt his best days are behind him but i'd easily have him top 10 all time in MMA.
n.b. this post is not some post Rua hyperbole because everyone in the media seems to have a hard on for Hendo just now. For what it's worth i thought he was very lucky to get the decision on Saturday night and wouldn't fancy his chances against Silva (again)
As for Wanderli. Great warrior but his best days are long, long gone. If anyone if you guys haven't seen his Pride highlight reel then get on Youtube now. There was a spell where he went on a wrecking spree that almost matched Fedor's. His fights with Jackson are legendary. Made the knees to Lee's face on Saturday seem like taps to the face in comparison.

Hendo is a legend and I would have to disagree with you, I do not think his best days are behind him, quite the opposite, I think he has two good years ahead of him. He is a unique fighter in terms of Skill set, utterly brilliant world class grapler with thee most dangerous punch in combat sports today. Hes always been in great nick and shows no signs of wear and tear.Originally posted by spud_gun View PostWhere does Hendo rank all time?

If he hits Silva with that over head right it will be lights out, but Silva is on a different planet to everyone else. I think he was good value for the win, I had him for all 3 of the first 3 rounds, 4th memory is shady, 5th obviously a 10 8 to Shogun. For me thee best fight I can remember, better than Bonner V Griffin 1 as it was much more technical .
Those knees from Wandelie are just sublime, he still has the best knees in the sport, i think he is realizing you cannot just stand and bang it out anymore ... his so called slug feasts these days are a lot more technically crisp if you look closely ... anyways !!! I have just found out I am most likely going to get onto Support Staff when the UFC comes to Hong Kong .... get the **** in !!!!Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Nov 2015

Going to have to disagree with you regarding Henderson. His best days are long gone. ATG but he's not going to reach the highs he did in Pride. If he somehow wins the UFC middleweight title then he'll be on a par with Coture and the like.Originally posted by MrNice View PostHendo is a legend and I would have to disagree with you, I do not think his best days are behind him, quite the opposite, I think he has two good years ahead of him. Had a look at another forum and there was a thread discussing why Wandy hadn't been able to employ his Thai clinch / knees to any great effect in the UFC.

Yeah but that was an extreamly sloppy fight for him, its best to clinch up on the cage not in the middle of a slug feast with one of the hardest hitting brawlers in the sport today. Get someones head in a proper thai clinch and its really difficult to throw upper hooks. The secret is controlling the head, make him have his chin to his chest and move him around left and right whilst planting knees to his chin. Its brutal. As for Hendo, he is in the best shape of his life, he game has not changed and was never based on speed, if anything its got better. He is a very clever fighter with brutal knockout power whos has exception take down defense and is a world class wrestler, whats not to like. I think he gets a shot at Anderson now right ?Originally posted by spud_gun View PostGoing to have to disagree with you regarding Henderson. His best days are long gone. White seems to have a raging hard on for Sonnen. All the talk is that there will be a Sonnen vs Silva rematch mid 2012. Silva is apparently carrying a shoulder injury and won't fight before June.
Would like to see Henderson pummel Sonnen. Not sure Hendo (or Rua) will be the same after Saturday night. Don't expect to see either of them fight for at least 6 months.
