Apparently tested positive on Dec 4th but because drug is not on banned list he was allowed to compete on Saturday.

One rule for Bones, another for everybody else.

Its not just Jones, its anybody who is a money maker for UFC. If Connor McGregor or Rousey tested positive for coke, it would be the same outcome as Jones as they are just as protected

Who was banned for recreation drug use which isn't prohibited in out of competition testing?

Its not prohibited, but it is illegal. So I dont get why there is a distinction from the UFC. There wouldn't be in the Prem or most other sports.

Because they're not testing to see if they're being a good boy, they're testing to make sure they don't obtain an unfair sporting advantage.

And as far as I'm aware the PL doesn't do any out of competition testing?

And the PL tend to hide positive tests for coke

It's going to be prohibited shortly apparently. If Bones was in such dire need of rehab to reform his drug taking problem, why didn't he check in when he failed the test at the start of December... Because it didn't suit him then, now it helps him play the victim when the test results have gone public.

I wonder if this sort of a delay is normal?

The UFC have released fighters for tweets they've made and crimes committed away from the sport. Yet Jones gets away with failing a drug test for an Illegal substance because he's sorry?

He didn't fail a drugs test. He passed the drugs test. Cocaine isn't a banned substance in the test it was present in.

He's basically been caught taking a bit of charlie recreationally and expressed regret afterwards.

As far as crimes go it's pretty insignificant, though without examples of these tweets and crimes it's impossible to comment on them comparatively.

Whats a specific example of someone being dropped for less in your opinion?

In what way has he played the victim?

To be honest, I don't have the time at work to start searching for examples, but there are plenty out there of fighters being fined/suspended/fired for tweets.

Nothing I can ever say will change your mind, as we have found in the past. You have your opinion, I have mine... lets leave it at that.
