Yeah, he'll do very well to maintain a gap all the way to the stage finish. On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Voeckler still holds the maillot jaune by 15 seconds.

Great attack - about time. It was the only way either of the Schlecks stood a chance - don't leave it until the last climb.
They're in a good position now - Andy doesn't have to attack tomorrow but Frank does, if he can. The question is, if Andy's legs are feeling the pain of today, will Frank attack the other favourites and, effectively, his brother? History suggests not.
Great rides from Evans and Voeckler today too.
And Contador obviously didn't have steak for dinner last night.
Although it's a pity if it is a genuine knee injury - I was looking forward to him going all out tomorrow.
It's a great Tour, especially since it now isn't going to be tainted by any retrospective action if Contador loses his court case.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

great tour
didn't Contador win it last year partly down to poor sportsmanship with one of the Schlecks chains coming off?

It depends how you see it. I think the consensus now is Schleck attacked and then his chain came off. So it was a racing incident - bad luck but that's tough, just like falling on a descent or having a puncture after the real race has already started.
Of course it would have been unsporting if, say, a spectator had caused the problem or if everyone was going along quietly, Schleck lost his chain and Contador tried to exploit it. But that's not how it was.
I admit that's not how I saw it at the time. But that's Sean Kelly's view and it makes sense to me. Certainly though others still see it differently.
It was a very unfortunate coincidence that Schleck lost 39 seconds that day and that Contador's final winning margin in Paris was...39 seconds..
