Massive day for Australian cycling and Australian sport in general.
Delighted for Cadel. No one deserves it more.

On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

This is an amazing Tour. Apart from Cavendish as the fastest sprinter, the only predictable thing has been the Schlecks being let down by their time trialling.
Evans deserves it - he's ridden consistently brilliantly, a near-perfect race.
Now tomorrow - surely only an accident or mechanical can stop Cavendish..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Well, that's it for another year. Absolutely flew by!
Probably the best tour I've seen in all my time watching (which is admittedly only five or six years). It honestly had everything.
Still can't believe Cadel won. So chuffed for him. Such a huge moment.
Glad to see Cavendish get green as well, about time!On the Ning Nang Nong

I've been totally absorbed by it for the whole time and so much has happened it's hard to remember what happened before three weeks ago [cue obvious joke
]. Remember Gilbert's attacks, the TTT, Hushovd in yellow for a whole week? It's all memorable but somehow everything that's happened since makes it hard to recall all the early highlights.
But now it's over, yes, it flew by.
Just a fantastic Tour - better even than '96 which I found enthralling.
The only small disappointment is the imponderable about Wiggins. What if he hadn't crashed? Who knows I suppose but with Evans (who has a very similar style and balance of strengths) winning it, no blistering attacks from Contador on the mountaintop finishes, the form Wiggins was in...I suppose we might get an idea in the Vuelta but we'll never really know.
Anyway it was great - all the victors were so deserving and all the changes to the Points and KoM were totally vindicated, as was the race route.
