i love sports, thankfully so do my flat mates - we watch a lot of sport
and there is so much sport on tv and we had a conversation in the pub the other day about what are favourite sports are to watch on tv...
there were some obvious and some different ones and different reasons why.....for example one lad picked the Superbowl - which i thought is strange because he doesn't watch any other NFL at all....but he had superbowl in his top 3, despite watching other sports more regularly
Here are mine....
1. Football - easy pick, i love football, i watch it more than anything on TV, not just liverpool games, i will watch all the televised premier league games, most of the spanish games on sky, champions league/europa games, the odd lower game thats on tele, the lfc channel, MOTD, goals on sunday etc etc
2. Cricket - well this is where the debate comes into it a bit - i'll watch all england international cricket be it 20/20, ODI or Test - i think cricket on sky has the best commentary and pundit team of any sport and with england being good and the sheer amount of cricket and exposure it's getting i've become pretty into it.....however unlike football where i'll watch anything....I don't watch very much county cricket at all.
3. Golf - even though i prefer golf over cricket to play and i would consider myself a 'golfer' - other than the four majors and the ryder cup i don't think i watch any golf...however the ryder cup especially is brilliant tv
4. Boxing - I'll watch a fair bit of boxing, be it prizefighter all the way up to a top world title fight....though boxing doesn't finish higher up because of pay per view issues and 4am starts.
5. Rugby Union - just pips rugby league....i find domestic union ****ing painful to watch where as i don't mind super league - however i do enjoy international rugby union more than super league.
quite a lot missed out though - darts, athletics, tennis, formula 1, ufc, superbikes, horseracing.....
What about you?
