He should be too small to beat Loma. He is coming up two weight divisions to fight him afterall. He is shorter, naturally lighter, and less reach. So physically everything is stacked against him and that is without even touching on Loma's frankly amazing in ring talent and good power.

But Rigo is one of the slickest boxers I have seen in my life. He is so damn good at making the other guy miss and so technically excellent that I cannot discount him despite the logical and obvious choice being Loma.

Head should say Loma and Loma to finish it early at that, as I have always been a believer in that expression of how a good big 'un beats a good little 'un, but cannot shake that niggling feeling that there may more wiggle room for an upset here than expected.

Of course to win Rigo needs everything, and I mean everything, to go right for him. He needs to be able to use his skill to break up Loma's waves of attacks, he needs to stop Loma breaking him down systematically, he needs to shake his own habit of coasting for periods during fights, and he needs to be on his absolute A game.

Loma on the other hand just needs to get into his usual rhythm to win. He is that good.

One thing for sure though, someone is leaving the ring with a world class name in his W column as we have two guys who are both currently in the top four in the P4P rankings

Aye, it's in MSG so it'll be 3-4, the card is ****e so i'll set an alarm i reckon. Having a dry weekend so it'll be weird being up for the boxing, but you do what you gotta do.

yeah the undercard is a bit meh, but might check out the Diaz fight as there has been quite a bit of hype about him this year and he now faces a different opponent to what was originally billed. Watched replays of some of his bouts on youtube and he looks a tidy little fighter.

The heavyweight bout with Jennings has the potential to be a fun bout in a mid to lower tier HW kind of way.

But certainly no must watch bouts on the undercard.

Always enjoyed watching DeGale but that was terrible.

Can have zero complaints about that.

DeGale looks as though he's still got issues with his right arm. Almost afraid to throw it.

The Jack fight took a ton out of DeGale.

Hope Warren got rematch options when signing this fella up or i'd be surprised if DeGale holds a world title again.

Well, that was disappointing to say the least.

I can't believe Rigondeaux quit. I'm not buying he was injured either. He needs to stay at 122. The matrix has now made 4 opponents quit in a row

That was an amazing performance by Loma. He made a genuine top 4 P4P boxer look ordinary. I don't buy that Rigo quit because of an injury either, unless Loma taking the heart from him counts as an injury now.

Loma has to be the number one P4P boxer after that and Rigo needs to work damn hard from here on to avoid a modern day No Mas sticking to him.

I see Rigo also deleted the tweet he put up after the fight. It was him saying sorry and that Loma is everything people say he is in terms of being a great.
