Josh vs Parker 31/3/18 at Cardiff -

interesting to hear them trying to bring his weight down as well.

I'd love to see Josh vs Wilder this year and then a fully fit conscious Fury
I make no apologies, this is me

Parker is wank. Like really, really wank. Badly exposed in his last two fights. Hughie Fury danced rings round him, pity he couldn't land a punch.

Imagine Parker's team are 'cashing out'

Scary thing is that Khan probably thinks he is still relevent. Had to look at boxrec to see when he last fought in the UK and it was in April 2013 and since that fight in 2013 he has only been in the ring four times.

          Twice in 2014
          Once in 2015
          Once on 2016
          None in 2017

Has anyone done any or have experience of white collar boxing? I haven't been in a boxing gym for 20years but enjoyed it in my youth. Maybe this is early onset of a midlife crisis.

Lets try a different approach seeing as nobody on Est seems to have an interest.

How about 'Blue Collar' then, anyone done that ?

I hear it's a more brutal hands on style, compared to the tactical thoughtful approach of the White Collar.

Best thing to do is get yourself down your local ABC and start training and sparring.

I live rurally and only head to the city for weekends so there's not an accessible club but I have my own gym although my heavy bag is in storage. first step is to dig that out and start on it I guess.

So the set up for WCB is they give you 8weeks training for free and then pair you with someone of a similar ability. I guess they make the money off ticket sales, I might go to the next event for a recon and take it from there.

How safe is it? Guess thats the key issue.

                      What size gloves? Head guards?

It was more the point does it attract utter ****ing nut jobs. I don't fancy being a statistic in a car park. 16oz gloves and head guards. The latter much to my chagrin but I guess safety is paramount.

16oz? Be like punching with pillows

Generally attracts the older crowd who're past the age limit for amateur boxing.

Which is why it's piqued my interest. I think there's an event in May, I will rock up and get the lay of the land from that. I'm not expecting any KOs. The gloves and head guard I'm not keen on but it's essentially a charity event with some skimming off the top for overheads and organising.

Joshua vs Parker announced for March in Cardiff

David Price vs Povetkin on the Joshua undercard apparently.

No chance of Price winning IMHO. Price will gas out after 4 rounds and lose by TKO/KO, same old story. Povetkin's only loss was on points to Wlad. Povetkin got a 'proper' KO win over Takam too, not a ****ty/controversial stoppage like Joshua's.
