Think you're going a little OTT there Jaco. Ring is a wonderful pure boxer but he was massively overmatched. Don't think Rigo can be considered top 4 P4P.

Think Loma could step up and beat Crawford at Light Welter?

Don't get me wrong Loma is a magnificent boxer, am absolute joy to behold but let's not go OTT about the Rigo fight.

Yeah, the fight was a massive mismatch in the end, a 7lbs difference going onto the fight and clearly the smaller, older fighter. Shame I was looking forward to it but wasn't much of a fight at all.

If Rigo isn't a top P4P then nobody is.
          Loma is just something else.

            Top 4 P4P?

            Nah.

If you're talking the Rigo of the Donarie fight then sure but we're 4 / 5 years removed from that fight.

Rigo's next fight will determine that.
He wasn't too old or too slow last night - just came up against a perfect boxing bot.

Before last night's fight he was listed as being number four ( The Ring Rankings) on the P4P rankings. So he must have been doing something right before last night to get that sort of ranking.

The top four rankings before last night were GGG, Loma, Crawford and Rigo.

And if we do not take the Ring rankings as gospel for the P4P and instead go by the TBRB rankings, then Rigo ranked at number eight in their P4P list with Loma at number three.

So I do not think it is OTT as Rigo, like Loma, is one the greatest amatuer boxers of all time, and as a pro his skills levels are top class. He is a top drawer talent and was make look very ordinary by Loma not to mention made quit.

As for Crawford. Well he is another genuine P4P guy. But he fights at welterweight now so that would be three weight divisions or 17lbs more than what Loma boxes at now and I am not so sure that Crawford could be tempted to drop back in weight or that Loma would do what Rigo did and jump two divisions to get to LW.

If it did happen though, and within 12 months of now, then I think I would go with Crawford as I always have a soft spot for switch hitters and now that Ward is retired, Crawford is probably the best switch hitter in the game.

Crawford fights at light welter. No doubt moving up to welter very soon but as it stands he's the light welter king.

So Loma Vs Crawford would only be two divisions apart.

My point being to jump two divisions and face the best is a thankless task.

He already announced the move the welter and is due to fight for the WBO welter title in 2018. He will be fighting the winner of Jeff Horn's next fight

Didn't realised his move up had already been announced.

Yep was why he started vacating some of his LW belts a few months back. The WBO then made him the mandatory challenger for their Welter belt and confirmed that he, in early 2018, gets the winner of the Jef Horn fight.

Only thing we're agreeing upon here is that Stephen A Smith is a total ****ing arsehole.
